What is the maximum load capacity and is Speediance powered by an electric motor?

What different heights can the locking mechanism reach?

Can you use it for overhead pressing?
Yes! You can do overhead presses by moving the pulley assemblies to the pedal.
Can you do squats with this on your back or only on your front?
Yes! You can do both back squat and front squat.
What safety features are in place to prevent overloading your squat?
Out patented Spotter Mode will automatically lower the resistance when you might have reached your limit or overload yourself during work-outs.

What is the minimum resistance that Speediance supports?

The support arm is made of high-strength carbon structural steel, while the sliding part we use engineering plastic with a small coefficient of friction as the medium.
Is the total resistance 100 kg? Does Speediance have a negative resistance?
The total resistance is 220lbs ( 100KG ). 50KG per arm.
It also has negative resistance, because it also has weight when it retracts, this means you need to use force against it as well.

STANDARD : The digital weight provided is constant;
CHAINS : You can simulate the feeling of real chains, getting the benefits at the touch of a single button;
ECCENTRIC : Adds more resistance when your muscles are at their strongest to work your muscles harder in every rep;
CONSTANT : Maintain a balance of tension and contraction forces，used in strength tests and rehabilitation training;

I bought a smart cardio machine last year and loved it, and have been looking for a resistance/weights equivalent. The GM2 has exceeded all my expectations. I was a PT and gym manager for several years and can honestly say that this machine allows you to do EVERYTHING that you’d want. I love all the little touches and continuous improvements- the barbell hooks, the Bluetooth ring, the connectors so I can use my own EZ bar and handles. Honestly a fantastic piece of kit and am so energised to workout. I cant wait for my next session!

Gym Monster
Received my Gym Monster last week so have only scratched the surface of what it can do, but can already tell it is excellent and a complete game changer from previously having a standard bench with weight plates.
So many positives it’s hard to know where to start…
Ready to go out of the box and only takes up a tiny footprint so ideal for anyone with limited space in their house, flat etc. It may be small is size, but it packs a big punch.
There is so much variety in the huge amount of available movements the machine offers, along with loads of guided workouts and programs to choose from. Start a multi week program and all workouts are loaded into the calendar accordingly, and the app keeps you up to date when a scheduled workout is planned etc which helps maintain consistency and accountability. In addition to this you can create your own workouts from the massive library of movements.
The strength assessment is done very well and once recorded all the pre set routines will be adjusted to trailer for your capability. Brilliant.
Then there’s the Bluetooth ring which adds ultimate flexibility allowing you to get set for a movement before loading the weight with a press of the button, or if you need to go lighter or heavier, just adjust it with the dial.
Then there’s the various modes available which offer something free weights simply can’t. Personal favourite is eccentric mode, which increases the weight for the eccentric part of the movement to work different parts of the muscle for a better overall workout.
Safety features built in also let you workout and push yourself with the reassurance that the spotter assists will remove the weight load if you’re struggling with a movement.
Overall, my early impression of the machine is great and I know I’ll be working out for more frequently, and better, now I have it as part of my home gym set up. It was definitely a good decision to make the purchase.
The amount of different exercises you can do is incredible and unlike other machines which I’m not going to name you don’t have to nail it into the wall. It’s completely free to put where you please. And the speed of setting up this machine is phenomenal. You literally just take it out of the box and the way you go, I’m not joking.
We are building a home gym and the gym monster 2 has been an amazing addition! We love it. Fantastic quality. We hope they continue to build on the available guided classes.
I've had it for just under a month and can already see a difference in size and weight. I love how quick and easy the machine is to set up and use. The only pain was waiting almost a month for it to be delivered.

I was sceptical at first as I’ve used commercial gyms for years, but the build quality, smooth resistance and amount of exercises you can do on one machine is genuinely impressive. It feels premium, well engineered and the software is surprisingly intuitive.

It's been a great device. I really love it. I can work out on most days, and I can be assured that I am working out all parts of my body. I am on a programme, so that's helping me stay consistent, and overall I am enjoying it very much.
It’s only been a couple of weeks… but so far so good. The Speediance GM2 Family 2.0 is excellent and the workouts are great, with lots of variety for beginners and advanced alike. It is quick and easy to use… and love the partner mode!
Would like it even more if we could use partner mode for custom workouts.
Absolutely incredible. I’ve been going to the gym for 5 years, and haven’t seen the results I wanted. I’ve ended up gaining too much muscle at the gym, not having a proper workout plan. This machine is perfect for shredding and getting lean muscle, perfect my goals. Wish I’d bough it years ago
Only had the Speediance Gym Monster 2 for just over a week now but already love it. It’s an unbelievable bit of kit, the amount of exercises available seems like it should accommodate all training needs.
The ease of lifting the floor and moving the equipment around is great to ensure it isn’t taking up a lot of floor space at all times.
The strength assessment is great to establish your base load and the intelligence of the kit to predetermine and adjust weights for the various exercises is really clever, and all that without needing to pay a monthly sub on top of the hardware.
The only slight negative I have is the operating platform is taking a bit of time to get used to, some settings and features are hard to locate but they are constantly making updates and the more I use it the more I am getting familiar with it so hopefully this is just a beginner issue!
We love the gym monster 2. It's so compact but has so many smart features. The programs, workouts and movements really are comprehensive and are a great motivator for us. Much more sturdy and solid that I thought it would be. This is a well engineered piece of kit that I expect to last. Be warned, it's also very heavy, I reckon we'll need help getting it upstairs... either that or a few more months training!!!
So far I really, really love our Speediance. It's set up for me to do a short workout everyday.

Great piece of equipment (my favourite), very receptive customer service in the UK.
In terms of improvements, I’ve noticed that while there is an offline mode the machine is too reliant on wifi for the programmes. What should happen is there should be more capability for offline mode including downloading the workouts themselves and running them locally. This would help people who have placed machines where wifi is patchy (though i have taken steps to improve this). It seems like it continually streams the video when there should be no need to as loading the program should load it all. Mid workout if the connection drops the video can cut out which is annoying and can be avoided. Hopefully a software update can fix this.
Also the mobile app leaves a lot to be desired.
Apart from this, it’s a true innovation (the future of gym equipment) and i always look forward to my workouts on speediance.
I’ve been training over 35 years at multiple gyms, I saw The speed Gym monster two on a review from one of my YouTubers so did lots of research and took the plunge and bought one, cancelled my gym membership and haven’t looked back since, I absolutely love this Machine as it does everything in a small package taking up no room, the action is super smooth and the main thing for me is convenience so I can train split routines nearly every day, I would recommend this to anyone who is serious about their training and just doesn’t want to go to their local Gym or tied for time
Great machine, which enables me to train at home with the safety of an assist mode to also help me get some extra reps out. The eccentric mode is a game changer for building more muscle and something I would struggle to do in a conventional gym with dumbells/cables. I also use the partner option to do super sets, as I can have a rope on one attachment and short bar on the other, which enables me to seamlessly go from one exercise to another to further challenge my muscles. I'm currently using the free lift option, but I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface regarding what this machine can offer and plan to explore the custom and preset workouts in more detail. I have only had the GM2 for two weeks but am loving it so far. As long as it lasts the test of time and continues to work how it is at present, this will be great investment for my overall health and muscle building goals.

One month in, this machine is superb.
Following a PPL split, cable tension when working out various muscle groups, just perfect. Chest, Back, Shoulders, Arms, Legs..I’m using this thing for everything. The ability to automatically load/unload a weight, plus the assist mode allowing for drop sets, and the eccentric mode? Yeah, I’m finding it hard to pick up my dumbbells at this point.
Everything has worked reliably thus far, hope it continues. It’s an expensive machine, I hesitated quite a bit before purchasing. But a month of workouts in, it’s exactly what I hoped it would be.
So far great. Delivery was excellent, got several precalls to confirm date/timing and specifics about the location to be delivered.

Very easy to get basic exercises going, but still learning how to really pull together a plan. I’ve been travelling on business a far bit and have not had a chance to really get stuck into it. Still mulling over the wellness+ subscriptions.

Had my gym monster for about 2 weeks now, I must say I love it set up took all of 30 mins max, I am following a strength program which is really good and it’s free! I have trained for over 30 years and I love how compact the machine is and I got the extra on the black Friday deal the Bluetooth handles are great. I’ve had no issues with updates software etc all has gone smoothly, I was a bit worried about the weight 100kg but it is plenty and feels heavier than normal weights but I’ve not got anywhere near pushing the max, the Bluetooth ring is also very good and the quality of the machine is excellent, I hope support is good and in uk you get home support hopefully won’t have To use it, but overall first impressions very good !
